  • Increased Tantrums: Histrionic outbursts and emotional instability become more frequent.
  • Oscillation Between Extremes: They swing between extreme self-importance and self-hatred, leading to internal chaos.
  • Perceived Independence: They feel independent and free, but in reality, they are trapped by their internal issues.
  • Delusional Ideal Self: They experience a delusional sense of their ideal self, believing they are achieving their highest potential when they are actually far from it.
  • Seeking Admiration: They desire constant admiration and validation from others, sharing every detail of their lives and relationships in an attempt to gain approval.
  • Eventual Depression: This inflated and unsustainable state eventually leads to a crash into depression, as the unrealistic self-perception collapses.
