According to Dr. Karagöz, the psychodynamic character pyramid describes the functioning between the layers and within the layers themselves. The functioning of the layers differs from classical psychoanalysis. Each layer is in a dynamic process and both influences and is influenced by the others. For example, in the psychopathology layer, a person with high levels of depression will have their mental processes deeply affected, causing profound temporary or permanent effects in all layers.
It bears no resemblance to Freudian psychodynamics. Freudian Psychodynamics; encompasses multiple layers, each representing different aspects of mental and emotional functioning.
